What is Mesotherapy?

Mesotherapy is a non-surgical cosmetic treatment designed to rejuvenate and tighten skin, as well as remove excess fat. It involves the injection of a specially formulated cocktail of vitamins, enzymes, hormones, and plant extracts into the mesodermal layer of the skin. A Somatologist uses a mesotherapy device to deliver these microinjections.

How does Mesotherapy work?

Mesotherapy works by delivering active ingredients directly into the middle layer of the skin. This stimulates collagen and elastin production, improves blood circulation, and helps dissolve fat deposits. The device used ensures precise and controlled delivery of the substances.

What to expect?

During Treatment:

- The area to be treated is cleaned and disinfected.

- A topical anesthetic may be applied to minimize discomfort.

- The Somatologist uses a mesotherapy device to administer a series of microinjections into the target area.

- The procedure typically lasts between 30 minutes to an hour.

After Treatment:

- Mild redness that can last a few hours to a few days, swelling, or bruising at the injection sites is common but usually subsides within a few days.

- It is advisable to avoid strenuous exercise, hot showers, or exposure to direct sunlight for at least 48 hours post-treatment.

- Multiple sessions may be required for optimal results, with sessions typically spaced a few weeks apart.

Frequency of sessions

The frequency of mesotherapy treatments can vary depending on the specific skin concern being addressed, the clients current skin health, skin type, and the desired outcome.

Initial treatment phase: Once every 1-2 weeks for 4-6 sessions.

Maintenance Phase: Once every 1-3 months.

Contraindications

- Pregnancy and breastfeeding

- Known allergies to any component of the injection cocktail

- Autoimmune diseases

- Skin infections or inflammation in the treatment area

- Diabetes or other conditions affecting healing

- Use of blood thinners
